Going back to 2015, I have been paying $2.99/m for OnlineFaxes.com, which I rarely used, but was good when I needed to fax something. Recently, though, I noticed on my checking account statement that the rate jumped to $9.99/m starting in October after OnlineFaxes.com...

Are you kidding? Online faxes was one of the most mismanaged companies I've ever seen.

Efax had to raise prices to a level they should have been to make money. Online faxes was bleeding money for years.

By the way, that customer agreement you accepted when you signed up?

You gave efax the green light to take your account and increase prices. Really should read those.

auto credit card payment for a year {aug,2018} when discovered Oct 20 2017, refused a prorated refund a not being their policy. No warning that automated bill be sent to credit card Co. Called company ,refused return of unused months. Online Fax company , had forgotten them as they have not been used for several months. The payment was made through American Express automated and was just noticed just wanted a refund for the remainder of 2017 and the rest of 2018,they have to flip a switch to discontinue the service . Why would I pay for 10 months worth of service that I can't use,. Just received a flat refusal of reimbursement, and room for anything else

eFax review in Columbia, South Carolina: Avoid like the PLAGUE

You cannot cancel eFax (J2) service, no matter how hard you try. No way to do so on any of their sites, or even in your account, or even through email. You also can't delete your credit card from your account (only "update" it). Buttons that should work on their site do not. Even when you call for sales, you have to hold, and hold, and hold. Whenever I call, I simply cannot get this company to answer their phones without a long, long hold. Then when they finally answer, and I happen to tell them that I want to cancel the service, they tell me that their "computers are down for the day." Puh. Lease. Service was almost always terrible. Faxes rarely went through. Plus, you don't find out until HOURS later that it didn't, so you don't follow up. Their software doesn't seem to make more than a few attempts (but they won't tell you how many). You have to keep logging on to your account and reloading the documents, and the number, and telling it to send the fax--only to find out, hours later, that that didn't go through, either. I've missed very important deadlines that have cost me serious money (tens of thousands of dollars, in one case). As for customer service, it's some of the worst I've ever seen. And this goes for their sister sites, too (OneBox and eVoice). It's all under a company called "J2," which is how it appears on your credit or debit card. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE. I wish I had. I'm now on Customer Service trying to get refunded for unauthorized charges, and I've had to order a new debit card so J2 couldn't keep billing it.

eFax review: Customer Service is worst than MS

I needed to fax a document, but no longer had access so I thought that I would try to fax from my computer. I signed up for eFax's 30-Day Free Trial. Signing up was not difficult, but sending a fax (by following the directions provided to me by eFax) was a nightmare. I kept getting error messages. I emailed CS and they responded with "We regret for any inconvenience you may have experienced." They requested more information, even though I provided them with a detailed report of what had happened. They never responded. So the service was basically useless to me. My trial ran out on Nov 29th. They charged my CC on the 30th. Today (12/2), I had noticed the charge and called in. I told them about the trouble that I was having and asked that they cancel the account, which they did. I also asked for a refund and the CSR refused, saying that it was not company policy. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that the managers to not take/accept phone calls. This was, by far, the worst customer service experience that I have ever had and will not be using their services again. They received payment for one month and I received nothing. I am not a fan of this business model. Buyer beware when trying/using eFax. Both the product and the customer service were severely lacking.

Bit in effect they got your $17. I'm fighting them for the $10.74 they charged me and got the same attitude from an Ed and a Maddy.

How can a company like this continue to operate? Put me on hold, set-up their phone system to ignore you if you are looking for a refund...
