Are you kidding? Online faxes was one of the most mismanaged companies I've ever seen.

Efax had to raise prices to a level they should have been to make money. Online faxes was bleeding money for years.

By the way, that customer agreement you accepted when you signed up?

You gave efax the green light to take your account and increase prices. Really should read those.

I had Fax87 from July 2011 until I went to send a fax in early 2018 and the regular Fax87 login page tells me it is now eFax. I attempted to login because I needed to send a fax but couldn't login to send it.

Calls to eFax revealed that Fax87 customers hadn't been converted to the eFax platform. I was told I could download an app to my phone to use until my account was moved over to their platform. I explained that the document I needed to send was on my computer. Finally I guess I was connected to someone that actually understood my problem and he directed me to a webpage where I could download a program to my laptop that allowed me to send the fax.

Other than the notification on the Fax87 home page I never received any communications regarding the change over. I had been paying Fax87 an annual fee of $71.88 for their service and at no time was I informed what eFax would be charging me until eFax attempted to charge my credit card $99.99 (a whopping 39%+ increase) for an annual subscription on 6/28/2018. I would have caught it until I got a statement at the end of July except my CC flagged it a possible fraud and contacted me. I contacted eFax and got told that the $99.99 was a special rate for Fax87 customers or I could optional pay $9.99 a month.

Their website now works but my biggest issue is their failure to communicate to Fax87 customers (me) anything. I will in all probability search for an alternative, but I would like to keep the same fax number, so I may be stuck with them.

auto credit card payment for a year {aug,2018} when discovered Oct 20 2017, refused a prorated refund a not being their policy. No warning that automated bill be sent to credit card Co. Called company ,refused return of unused months. Online Fax company , had forgotten them as they have not been used for several months.The payment was made through American Express automated and was just noticed just wanted a refund for the remainder of 2017 and the rest of 2018,they have to flip a switch to discontinue the service . Why would I pay for 10 months worth of service that I can't use,. Just received a flat refusal of reimbursement,and room for anything else

eFax review: No customer support

My fax line stopped working. Calls would not go through. I called customer service and they would let me know within 24 hours. 2 days later, I called back, said give them another 24 hours. Called back 2 days later, still no resolution. No fax line for almost a week. Had Online Fax for 5 years and never had a problem. eFax bought out Online Fax and a month or 2 later no fax line. Support cannot seem to fix the problem. How can they let a customer go without a fax line for almost a week and not at least email them and let them know that is happening.

eFax review: Fraudulent charges on credit card on free trial

Details
Don't use this unless you want surprise charges on your credit card. They will charge you by the length of time it is to process the fax even though in the trial they market it as free 150 pages. The faxes I sent were incredibly slow and a week later I received multiple $10 fees charged on my credit card which was something I didnt approve, nor was I notified at the time of the transaction or via email. When speaking to the company, they wouldn't reverse the charges, but my bank has. Dont use this!!!

eFax will disappoint and frustrate you. It does not work as well as claimed, can't easily handle larger files as claimed and you will receive a ton of junk efaxes.

And then even more junk. Customer service is ineffective. You will pay, no performance, no refunds. It's one of the worst services of this type.

The only area it excels at is disappointment. Find any alternative
